DownloadWelcome to our annual event, we hope everyone enjoys the venue and the friendship.
We want to clarify some basic rules for all participants to follow.
All teams will be made up of three golfers, an “A” player, a “B” player and a “C” player. This is based on either the players handicap index or the average scores provided to the committee by the players. The teams will be randomly selected for each day with a blind drawing held prior to the event.
Each player will play a ball from the tee box and then the best shot will be selected, the ball will be played into the hole this way in a scramble and the score will be recorded by the opposing team. The ball will placed within a club length of where the ball lays, no closer to the hole. If the ball is in the rough, the ball must stay in the rough.
Should your team be missing a player, the two remaining players will have their team handicap adjusted to accommodate the missing player, and the two players will select a player to play the “3rd” ball for all the even number holes and the other player will play the “3rd” ball on all the odd number holes. It is the teams responsibility to announce this decision to the opposing team playing partners before the first tee shot is hit.
Should the tournament be stopped and not completed due to inclement weather, the teams that lead the field on any of the days where play was completed will be paid out the prize money down to the sixth place team. The example would be if play were not completed on Sunday, the leaders on Saturday would be paid out down to sixth place. If we were unable to play on Saturday, the winners on Sunday would be paid out, again, down to sixth place.
The golf committee will petition the course for a refund of unused green fees and food costs to reimburse the entrants if play is suspended for the entire day. Should the golf course refund monies, the players will all be refunded their share of the monies equally.
Enjoy your rounds of golf and the old and new friendships you will make. We are fortunate to have enjoyed this tournament for many decades and look forward to continuing our long lasting friendships we have made.
Pinetop Lakes golf and Country and Club is an 18-hole executive golf course that is not your typical executive. It boasts 5 par -4’s and 2 par -5’s with the rest being par 3’s that are no sure thing. The total yardage is 4,558 from the tips. All the holes are lined on each side with beautiful tall pines, gorgeous homes and of course out of bounds.
Several hotels and other accommodations available in area.
